
The Ma-Duece is a collection of six 50 Cal. BMG cartridges used during WWII. Cartridges are identified by painted or color-coded tips.
The Ma-Duece term was coined by GI during the war in reference to John Browning's machine gun the M-2 of the 1930's.
M2 Armor-Piercing - Designed to be used against light armored vehicles, protective shelters, & personnel. Easily identified by its black tip.
M2 Armor-Piercing-Incendiary - Designed to be used against flammable, armored targets instead of the M2-AP round. The bullet has a silver tip.
M2 Ball - This cartridge is a FMJ round used against unarmored targets & personnel. This bullet has an unpainted tip.
M1 Incendiary - Used against flammable, unarmored targets. This bullet has a light blue tip.
M1 Tracer - This bullet designed with a tracer component for bore sighting, spotting & observing fire, signaling, target designation, & incendiary purposes. This bullet has a red tip.
M20 Armor-Piercing-Incendiary-Tracer - This cartridge is designed to be used on armored, flammable targets with a tracer element for observation purposes. This is a variant of the M8 Armor-Piercing Incendiary with the added tracer element. This bullet has a red tip with a ring of aluminum paint.
